After being in a time warp with the so called dance station wktu, New York now has PULSE 87.7. Besides the mixshows that KTU used to have the station became stale rather quickly and N.Y. dance radio needed an overhaul. With it`s eclectic dance programming format The Pulse is a definite refreshment for the dance music industry.They play an array of dance mixes from Janet Jackson, Shakira, Mariah and (unheard of on KTU) new artists also. It`s not just top 40 house but underground and electro versions of your favorite pop tunes also. They even hit you with a freestyle or house classic from time to time. Star and Buckwild formerly of power 105 kick off the morning show with thier off the wall humor to wake your asses up. Although associated with the hip hop world, Star and Buck fit right in on The Pulse. Kudos to the refreshing programming and I hope that the station stays on track.
